  • In 1841 Barry planned a spire to stand on the church tower, however these plans never progressed from the drawing board for unknown reasons.
  • St Peter's Church has been the major parish church of Brighton since 1873. If new British cities had cathedrals this would make it the cathedral of Brighton.
