This joint development between Taylor Woodrow (now Taylor Wimpey) and UNITE, features two blocks, one for students and the other of private housing. Although the student block has now been completed, it faces potential demolition if the British government's 2010 HSR2 rail plans are to be carried out, something that raises the spectre that the private housing block will never be built.
The site was originally the location for a 25-storey tower that was masterplanned by HOK International in 2003 as the leading building of the Eastside development.
