  • St Mary's was Coventrys first cathedral demolished in 1539 after the people of Coventry refused to buy it off Henry the 8th.
  • No one is certain what the cathedral looked like but it is believed to have resembled Lichfield in both size and scale.
  • Almost nothing remains of the cathedral today, it was totally demolished at ground level.
