The Belfast International Hilton Hotel is one of the landmark buildings rushed through the planning process as the Northern Ireland peace agreement was being signed as part of the "peace dividend".
The building was originally planned to have 15 floors above ground but this was increased by one to 16.
The building was officially topped out on the 27th of February 1998 when the last part of the 9,800 tonne concrete structure was poured.
