The Blue Fin Building Also known as Bankside 1

Other Information

  • The name, the Blue Fin Building, comes from the fact that the buildings facade has 2,000 vertical fins on it of varying blue colours to provide solar shading for the offices within, something that is essential as the entirety of the building is clad in floor-to-ceiling glazing.
  • Within the Blue Fin Building is a central atrium that has a footprint measuring 18 x 35.6 metres, an area large enough to stand Kings Reach Tower inside. Despite this the size of the building is such that it still has floorplates of approximately 4,000 square metres each.
  • The upper tenth floor steps back on the eastern side providing a roof terrace with views to the north, south and east that stretches 95 metres in length at its longest point.
