SOUTH QUAY - CANARY WHARF

EPR have just submitted a planning application for a 2m sq ft mixed development at South Quay, comprising 1.5m sq ft office, 60,000 sq ft retail, a 400 bedroom hotel and 100 serviced appartments. The development will form the centre piece of Tower Hamlets 'Millenium Quarter'. Construction work is scheduled to commence mid 2000.

The main tower replaces the design of 1, Millharbour. Its 670ft were scaled down but this tower looks a similar height? The second tallest buildings on the waterfront is the 28 storey World Trade Centre and the 2 tier building on the left below is 4, Mastmaker Road. The slopong building in the centre is roughly 300ft. No exact heights are available yet but, it looks like the Canary Wharf South/ Heron Quay towers HQ2 and HQ4-5 are of a similar height of around 500ft? Not the 700ft originally planned for HQ2.
