50 Marshwall Exhibition

An exhibition is to be held tomorrow and the 13th of September on new plans for a tower at 50 Marsh Wall in London.

The plans are just the latest in what has become a flood of proposals for the Isle of Dogs. The project is being developed by the Far East Consortium, a Chinese property developer which is now making a move from skyscrapers in the People's Republic to skyscrapers in London.

Early images show a skyscraper rising to perhaps 190 metres in height with as many as sixty stories and pushing to the limits what is acceptable on this particular site. The building is expected to accommodate some 400 new apartments with the planning gain including a new school, a new health centre, and landscaped areas around the development.

The exhibition is being hosted at the Phoenix Heights Community Centre, E14 9AR on the 11th of September between 2pm and 8pm, and the Alpha Grove Community Centre on the 13th of September between 11am and 2pm.
