More Atkins Supertalls For Dubai

As the emirate motors back to economic health, more luxury towers are planned in Dubai for the Central Dubai development by Al Habtoor including a couple of new supertalls.

The new development features three towers, the tallest of which will be twin towers of approximately 300 metres in height with 75-storeys. The shorter tower will have 52-storeys. Between them they will host 1,471 new apartments.

Al Habtoor City Towers are designed by Atkins who drew inspiration from early 20th century Art-Deco architecture that can be found in New York and Chicago. They penned the project squarely at the top end of the luxury residential market, with the inclusion of eleven penthouses, the largest two of which stand one atop each of the taller towers.

These will have an unprecedented four floors each including quadruple height atriums and swimming pools on their roof terraces. Within they contain no less than 3,000 square metres of space each offering the most opulent living space a discerning Arabian prince could ever want.

The shortest of the pictured buildings, a $515 million hotel complex is already under construction on the site, with the plot being cleared by the Habtoor Leighton Group so that the three residential towers can also be built.
