This major office and residential
development is the region's tallest building,
and houses 21 800sq m of office space in the
lower 10 floors which is partly pre-let to law
firm Eversheds LLP, and 200 apartments in
the upper 20 floors being developed by K W
Linfoot plc, with the lower ground and
basement levels devoted to car parking.
Construction of the reinforced concrete
frame was completed with the main structural
core 'topped out' on 8 September 2005.
The building was officially completed in an
opening ceremony on 26 April 2007 with the
local BBC news show 'Look North' being
broadcast live from the top of the tower.
A spire was included in the approved plans
but never built.
