  • With the main part of the building dating from the 15th century, the Church of St Mary has a western stepped Somerset tower of three stages that helps give the impression of extreme height to the building by emphasising the perspective of the viewer.
  • Later additions include a minstrel gallery from 1623 that could have been used for secular as well as religious performances, and a clock that was inserted into the in 1807.
