The redevelopment of Paradise Circus has long been an important scheme in the redevelopment of Birmingham city centre.
The site currently separates two of the cities most popular public squares (Centenary Sq and Victoria Sq) often restricting the flow of people from one square to the other.
Original proposals to develop the site were unveiled in the 1990's and incorporated a number of skyscrapers, with one reaching 1000ft.
However, due to local opposition against such buildings due to its close proximity to the town hall and art gallery, these plans have been scraped and new plans are currently being drawn up.
