  • The hall was paid for by 1,025,000 contributors to commemorate the centenary of John Wesley's death.
  • Methodist Central Hall is the first site to have hosted the United Nations General Assembly.
  • Originally the building was planned with two towers but these were removed due to fears they were interfere with Westminster Abbey.
  • Those to have taken part in debates here include Churchill, Ghandi, the Dalai Llama and Nelson Mandela.
