  • The chapel soars to 24.4m inside and 28.67 on the outside roof. The interior is 88.45m long.
  • The first stone was laid by Henry the VI in 1441 who imagined a vast choir with daily singing services.
  • Much of the stone came from Ramsey Abbey after it was dissolved by Henry the VIII.
  • The interior includes a number of pieces by famous painters such as the Adoration of the Magi by Rubens in 1634.
  • The chapel includes the worlds largest fan vaulting built in the space of a mere three years by John Wastell by 1512 and 1515.
