  • Cox's Stack is a huge edifice built by James Cox, one of the owners of the Cox Brothers who at the time were the largest Jute manufacturers in the world with 820 powerlooms and 150 handlooms. It remained in use until 1982.
  • Today Cox's Stack is the tallest chimney in Scotland.
