Tolworth House was a revolutionary office building in several senses, not least because it was one of the first built on the suburban edge of London and with a large car park allowing workers to commute too and from it and live near it if they chose.
The ground floor of the building originally was occupied by Fine Fare, a now defunct supermarket that at the time was the largest in Europe.
